Keep Food Simple stands for maximum utilization of raw materials, whereby the healthy components end up in our food as much as possible. Keep Food Simple searches for alternative production methods and examines the entire chain for this. From raw material to end product. Their focus? Vegetable raw materials and they opt for a preventive approach. But sometimes they also opt for traditional methods. By making maximum use of the best that nature has to offer, the use of auxiliary materials and additives can be limited. Keep Food Simple is a not-for-profit organization with an extensive network in the food industry and knowledge institutions. They explore ideas and projects and develop and stimulate promising projects with universities and other knowledge institutions. Projects are then carried out again under the responsibility of universities and colleges. The results are always public.
The collaboration with Keep Food Simple is a very valuable one for us. The mission and vision are very much in line with those of Food Tech Brainport. We are currently working with Keep Food Simple mainly within the bell pepper cluster, investigating the possibilities of using the residual flow of bell peppers and their nutrients in foods or food ingredients.
